My Staycation at Level Los Angeles - Downtown South Olive
Between raising our kids, running our businesses, and managing our properties, it’s very seldom that Tyler and I find the opportunity to go on a weekend trip together. Not only is it complicated to ensure everything is under control at home so that we can relax, but it can also be very pricey to take a trip away, so these kinds of things usually fall under the “things to do when the kids are older” category.
So, when Level approached us about visiting their Downtown Los Angeles location, I was thrilled! Generally, when I start thinking about trips away, I think of long road trips or flights to different destinations, but a staycation in my city? What a great concept for busy parents and business owners like ourselves!
Amazing In-Suite Amenities at LEVEL
Upon arriving at LEVEL’s Downtown LA South Olive Location, I was instantly amazed by the stunning aesthetic and welcoming concierge. Way to make a first impression! The staff instantly made us feel right at home as they ushered us up to our suite, which is so unlike any other hotel I’ve ever stayed at! The place was so spacious, clean, and well-decorated. A+ on the vibe from me, and that’s saying something. Some of the best features of the LEVEL suites are that they have fully-operational kitchens (great for trips where you don’t want to spend a ton on takeout!), laundry machines if you’re planning on staying for a long time, massive closets (fashionistas, I’m looking at you), a very very comfortable bed, and gorgeous open-air balconies that look over California.
Funny enough, the weekend I was here was when it was cold and snowy, so I didn’t get to spend much time on the balcony. However, I imagine that when the weather cooperates in true LA fashion, this would be the place to chill with a nice cocktail at happy hour or a coffee in the morning.
Plenty Of Things To Do
Once we got settled, we decided to explore some of the surrounding areas to make the most of our weekend away. The location is so central to tons of great bars, restaurants, and coffee shops in the area, so there’s no shortage of adult fun to have! We personally loved getting dinner and drinks at the attached restaurant, Good Clean Fun. Such a vibe!
As for daytime activities, LEVEL has a nice big pool (once again, I wish the weather was nicer!) and a big gym with fully-functional equipment, not just dumbbells. I can imagine people staying for a long time would love spending weeks at LEVEL because it feels like being at home, just with room service. *wink wink*
The Perfect Staycation
After two nights, it was back to reality…but real life isn’t so bad when you’ve had a weekend of rest and relaxation with your boo. Couples of LA; if you are looking for a stellar staycation experience that is well-rounded and very affordable, I highly recommend checking out LEVEL DTLA. I will definitely be going back for a girl’s weekend, too.
